I saw a dragonfly in the grass while walking my dog.
It looked stuck, barely moving, so I tried to help.
I placed a leaf next to it, thinking it might climb on.

But it didn’t.
It moved slightly away from the leaf.
Not panicked. Not hurt. Just not interested.

That’s when I realized
it wasn’t stuck.
It just wasn’t ready to move.
And maybe what I was offering, it didn’t need.

So I left the leaf there.
Not as a rescue.
Just in case it chose to use it.

We do this with people too.
We try to help, fix, advise because we care.
But not everyone is stuck.
Not everyone is ready.
And not everyone needs what we’re offering.

Sometimes the kindest thing you can do
is leave the leaf
and walk on.

I saw a dragonfly in the grass while walking my dog.
It looked stuck, barely moving, so I tried to help.
I placed a leaf next to it, thinking it might climb on.

But it didn’t.
It moved slightly away from the leaf.
Not panicked. Not hurt. Just not interested.

That’s when I realized
it wasn’t stuck.
It just wasn’t ready to move.
And maybe what I was offering, it didn’t need.

So I left the leaf there.
Not as a rescue.
Just in case it chose to use it.

We do this with people too.
We try to help, fix, advise because we care.
But not everyone is stuck.
Not everyone is ready.
And not everyone needs what we’re offering.

Sometimes the kindest thing you can do
is leave the leaf
and walk on.

We think growth feels like rising.
But sometimes, it feels like grieving.

The version that stayed silent to be accepted.

That’s not failure.

Your brain is wired to protect your identity.
Even if that identity is outdated, misaligned, or built in fear.
Neural pathways cling to the known, because familiarity feels safe.
But safety isn’t the same as truth.

Neuroplasticity begins when the old self starts to dissolve.
Your system feels like it’s breaking, but it’s actually rewiring.

And ancient wisdom always whispered the same thing:
Rebirth requires release.
Clarity demands surrender.
The seed must crack before it becomes the tree.

So if it feels like something in you is dying,
That’s good.
Let it go.
You’re not broken.
